Steady Inside

Place is these four walls
Steady in time. Erected. They for us.
Present here. The stable fixture of family enclosed
In timely renovation. We are now under construction.
Bringing hope that neighbors have left
Shoulder bags outside.
Lonely on the stoop. Dead in the mind.
Only what is fresh is grown here for dinner tonight.
Baby welcome on a clean slate.
And, the pot luck is for guests only, please.
Bring nothing from outside. We steady in time.
We solid. My children will build castles here, we say.
Imagine play layered with clay. Dry by day.
Sun fore night. Patience. Break. No. Steady mind.
Only the ego denies this. This place is the truth.
Let me in again.
