The New and The Known

The sound of a voice
Is beautiful when you don’t hear it often
It touches the predictable times of day
In waiting

In asking
It teeters lazy on the flat sill
The curtain covered wind wrapped
In dark comfort singing

Made up words are
Improv, humor childlike
Innocence awake
The predictable, the known and the understood
